Millennium

The threads of each piece in the KUNA Milenium collection intertwine a memory that transcends time. This collection has been curated with the Larco Museum in honor of its 100 years of history, inspired by pre-Columbian Peruvian mantles and textiles, paying tribute to cultures such as Paracas, Moche, Chimú, Chincha, Lambayeque, and Huari.

Each piece is more than a design statement: it is an offering to more than 6,000 years of textile history, a silent language woven with respect and admiration. The pieces in this collection are crafted from alpaca fiber and silk, which today become a contemporary canvas.

The representation showcases all of Peru's cultures, their chronological and geographical location relative to the coast, as well as the materials they used in their different looms.

In the collection, we found 6 pieces that are exact replicas of the pre-Columbian mantles exhibited in the Larco Museum, as well as reinterpretations in alternative colors, where ancestral iconography comes to life, reminding us that heritage is not only preserved but also projected into the future.
