FROM THE ROOTS: SHARING OUR ORIGINS

After two years of pandemic, at KUNA we are launching a new proposal for the fall-winter 2022 season. In this new collection, we seek a reconnection with our origins and with the public, with the concept “ From the Root” , through which we will make known the essence of the birth of the brand, focused on the Peruvian alpaca, the Andes and its inhabitants.

In this collection, at KUNA we find in the multicoloured magnitude of skirts, vests and hats, the richness of flora and fauna that is born from the immensity of the Sacred Valley. In our new proposal, we find a variety of coats, sweaters, cardigans and accessories in a wide range of natural colours, different fabrics that simulate the patchwork technique, as well as colourful garments with Andean motifs in jacquard.

The high quality, finesse and exclusivity of the products define our proposal at KUNA, in which once again, we aim to reflect the amazing ancient techniques of Peruvian textiles. “In the two previous years, KUNA’s collections were focused on a comfortable and natural style for the home. This year we want to return to KUNA’s roots, we are giving a focus on origin and country brand, we want to go out into the world and make known the richest part of our culture” Karen Neves, KUNA manager.

We presented the main garments of our new collection in a unique event that was different from the classic fashion catwalk. Together with the collection, we started the “KUNA Talks” , conferences where we seek to raise awareness of essential aspects of sustainable fashion and alpaca fiber. Our first exhibition was attended by different designers, influencers and brand directors interested in learning more about the fiber of South American camelids. Later, attendees and passers-by participated in a cheerful parade, where different models wore garments from the new collection, displaying color and style. People who were in Barranco were able to appreciate this unique event in which a bit of the Andes was brought to the city.
