Vicuna

The elegant and slender vicuña roams free on the Andean plateaus after having avoided extinction. Its golden fibre, the finest in the world, is obtained during the Chaccu celebration. KUNA uses this noble fibre to create garments of exceptional beauty, admired for their quality and finesse.

Each vicuña garment is developed in a process carried out entirely in Peru and has certifications granted by CITES.
(Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and MINAGRI (Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru) ensure the legal acquisition of vicuña fiber without harming these animals. Vicuña garments are known as the Gold of the Andes for being the finest and rarest animal fiber, obtained manually through associations of Andean settlers with knowledge transmitted from generation to generation.
